I tried for a “kintsugi” effect on an egg for the #inktober52, prompt, Break. I think it turned out “OK” despite all the mistakes. A friend actually DJed live while I streamed drawing (dotting?) this. Such a fun experience. “Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum; the method is similar to the maki-e technique. For the Inktober52 prompt, Lush. I had the hardest damn time with this prompt! I tried a few different things and scrapped them. I even asked for suggestions from people. I ended up with this and while it was fun to draw, I can’t say I’m super happy with it. Especially those stupid bubbles! 🤣 Win some, lose some. #inktober52 #inktober #penandink #penandinkdrawing
